Opinions on S&W 9VE?
I've got an offer to buy a S&W 9VE 9mm Hi-cap (16+1) with two extra 16-round magazines for $375. I'm thinking about trading my Kel-Tec PF9 for part of the trade value (he's offering me $160 in trade value). What do you guys think?

Some people like them. They feel good in the hand. Very close copy of a Glock (S&W paid Glock a lot of money for patent infringements). The few earlier models I shot had heavy triggers. Shoot it before you buy it....good luck.

Not sure I'll have a chance to shoot one before I buy it. The piece is at a gun shop, not from a private seller, and I'm pretty sure they won't let me shoot it first.

They are at Academy Sports for $299 plus a $50 mail in rebate.
SPEND your money on a Ruger P89 or P95 for $350, instead of this S&W pistol. It has one of the worse triggers I have ever used. |
Re: Opinions on S&W 9VE?
That seems high to me. I had one for a while and sold it for $275 and was glad to get that out of it. I would recommend looking at something else. I am very pleased with my
G19 but you are looking at another $100 to $150. |

Sneak, what didn't you like about the 9VE?

The Ruger P95 would be a much better choice. They typically go for @ $350 new and $275 -$300 used around here. |
